What is the difference between 1-phase and 3-phase charging station?

A 1-phase charging station (3.7kW) uses a standard 230V connection and has a standard power of 16A. The maximum charging power is 3.7 kW.

A 3-phase charging station uses 3x230V (power current) and has a standard power of 16A. The maximum charging power is 11kW.

If you do not have a 3-phase connection, you can request an extension from your network operator.
